Regency Lodge Heswall is a brand new, purpose built, Independent Hospital providing high quality, 24-hour, individualised programmes of rehabilitative mental health care within a low secure environment, for up to 25 male patients.

Patients may be:
- Aged 18 years or over and not normally over the age of 65;
- Assessed as requiring continuing rehabilitation and treatment in a low secure environment;
- Detained under the Mental Health Act 1983
(discharge from detention does not preclude the Hospital from continuing to provide care and treatment)
Patients may not normally be accepted if they have a history of:
- Sex offending with a risk of re-offending;
- Arson with a risk of re-offending;
- A primary diagnosis of substance misuse;
- A primary diagnosis of learning disabilities;
- A physical condition that makes him too vulnerable to allow for safe management.
Regency Lodge aims to provide patients with a lifestyle that is as normal as possible given their individual health and social needs in a homely and structured low secure environment, and to enable them to live as independently as possible with privacy, dignity and the opportunity to make their own choices, whilst assisting to rehabilitate them back into everyday life.
We aim to secure an environment which is the best possible in line with current creative thinking, as well as the ongoing development of the best practices in clinical and social care.
