Staff Training

Regency Lodge is fully committed to developing people in order to provide quality holistic care. We actively encourage individuals to access educational opportunities through monthly supervision and systematic annual performance reviews.

The concept of lifelong learning and reflective practice is actively promoted through the employment of an independent educational consultant, protected learning hours and a flexible and comprehensive in-house training programme.

Staff training needs are addressed through individual development plans that support our objectives and the culture of empowered learning that we have created within our organisation. We access educational opportunities from recognised and accredited organisations and provide an environment that enables formal and informal learning opportunities in line with our cultural ethos, our commitment to clinical governance and individual needs and goals.

We are dedicated to the personal and professional growth of our staff and our investment in them has recently been recognised and externally verified by the Centre for Assessment and Recognition (NW) Limited. We were delighted to accept the Investor in People Accreditation two years after registration of our independent hospitals status and are also able to offer placements to student nurses and student social workers.

Personal success includes the finalists for the Carer Innovator Award by Caring Times, a security liaison officer who is now an accredited tutor in searching skills and a general nurse who now trains staff in infection control. We support individual career progression and offer staff the opportunity to attend evidence based and credited development programmes in order to ensure the maintenance of best practice within our establishment.
